Letter of Intent  

Leader Area Lundaland, which hopefuly will be LAG  August 2008 and Leader Area Gorenjska košarica, Slovenia has signed an co-operation agreement.

Statistics of the Gorenjska region 

Population and surface in the Gorenjska region (2 137 km2)  is about 10% of Slovenia. There is 2 million people living in a country of  20 273 km2. Sweden is 450 000 km2 and 9 million is living here. BNP in Sweden is 30 000 US dollar per capita and in Slovenia 22 000 US dollar. Number of overnight stays  in Gorenjska is 1 500 000 and number of beds 12 000. 

The Skåne region is 7.7% of the population in Sweden. and 11 027 km2.

Parks of the Gorenjska region 

Gorenjska region is most popular in Slovenia for tourists. Villages like Bled is wellknown and very beautiful. Triglav is the highest mountain 2863 meter and the Triglavski Narodni Park is an important attraction in the region.

Kranj is close to airport of Ljubljana 

It is easy to go from Flyinge to Kranj, as both is located close to airports. Time in the air is about 1½ hour.

Visiting Gorenjska region 

Flyinge Utveckling was visiting BSC in Kranj in order to meet people working in the Leader process to establish a LAG Gorenjska. How could we cooperate and how is the Leader process going forward in Sweden and Slovenia.
